Lots of delicious food at breakfast, prepared by our hosts and at 930 we are shuttled off for a visit to a nearby 16th century landmark - Bauskas Pils (Bauskas Castle). We learned much about Latvian history and the great love these already dear friends have for their homeland's unique story. After a scrumptious lunch in Bauska we headed back to Sloka and had just enough time to freshen up and go to the church for a concert by their choir. We also met members of a contingent from LCMS Headquarters in St Louis who were in Latvia for a visit to the various churches here. Between the trip and the concert we had just enough time to unpack the 8 suitcases filled with the supplies you have provided - yes EVERTHING arrived safely except Kevin's personal suitcase. It did arrive by later this afternoon.
