Meeting more staff LEC

Wally with his class, an enthusiastic group!!
A tender moment.

WR (Wally) Vinovskis, {Reverend, President and Dad}
WR or Wally as he's most commonly call here in Sloka is a multitalented Early intermediate (3RD  – 5th  grade) level teacher here at English camp.
In addition to coming to English camp, WR is Pastor of Concordia Lutheran in Mucungie, PA, and the recently installed President of the SELC, this past year.  "Congratulations, Mr. President!!"
Wally enthusiasm, wise counsel and vigorous enjoyment of all things Latvian and the Latvian people is a source of inspiration to the entire team.  As long as we can keep up with his high energy level.  It is a sheer delight to be around him as he exudes grace and love for all people.
A special treat was to share in the celebration of his 25th Ordination anniversary with what else a Latvian cake.  Wally and his wife Cynthia celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary only separated by 6000+ miles
WR and two of his children – Carissa (Karisa, Latvian spelling) and Oliver are also on the team this year.  We are blessed by his presence and his love of Jesus.  Thank you WR!

Jim Coe, "Mr. Music" at camp

JIm with his small choral group

Jim has been coming to Sloka since the inception of the St Luke's - Sloka fellowship, Jim has not missed one adventure to the site of the yearly English camp.
Jim is the former Director of Music and Worship at St Luke's for many years and has also served congregation in south Florida, Ann Arbor, MI and St Petersburg, FL.  Jim is a CUNE grad also.
Words are inadequate to fully describe Jim's love for Latvia and the Latvian people, especially his many, dear friends here in Sloka.  The St Luke's/Sloka fellowship is a testament to his energy and perseverance over the decade plus of our relationship.
We are fortunate to have Jim as a member of the team this year.
