Latvia English Camp Introductions - Ruth Roberts

This will be my 3rd mission trip to Latvia.  The Latvia English camp has been my first foreign mission experience.

My husband & I have been at St Luke's for 19 years. I have been heavily involved in children’s ministry over the years, as well as women’s ministry. I have served in several leadership roles including VBS director, Community night coordinator. Currently I am in the church choir.

 Last year was my first year as an aide in kindergarten at St Luke’s. Prior to that I was an aide in the Pre-school for 13 years.

I love working with children. 

I am also very organized & creative.

 Another was flying in a helicopter over an active volcano in Hawaii. But the most special I’ve done was to bring my 4 Children into the world. There is nothing quite like being a mom!

Ruth talking with a member of a Methodist Mission group from Tuscaloosa, Alabama who were herre with a group of college age young people to help at a Wesley camp for kids from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.  It's always good for us to connect and share our love for spreading of the "Good News" with fellow Christians.
